The route is a combination of forest tracks and solid singletrack.  For those who know the area there is a lot of the Deadwater red route in there which ensures rock garden climbs, switchbacks and fast, flowing descents.  The forest tracks are used for climbing but beware that the upper sections can be horribly exposed to the wind and the not often used eastern lower section can become a wee bit boggy.  There are plenty of overtaking opportunities.

The main marquee is used for the timing and you will dib here and find out split times etc.  There is no need to transition here if you don’t want to.  If you’re in a team and want to switch riders you can do it at your base somewhere out on the course.  Only one rider is allowed out on the course riding at any one time.
