Described by top racers as one of the best 24 hour courses around the Chiller is a mix of forest tracks with red or black graded single track. In here you’ll find both testing ascents and rewarding descents. The black descent can be rolled top to bottom so don’t be put off by that. Being able to handle technical sections such as rock gardens is a bonus but many people opt to just run over as the distance to cover the same distance is about equal to riding!
The speed and difficulty of the lap is massively weather dependent. The first two years were complete horror shows in terms of conditions and then the 2019 event had some pretty picture perfect settings to get to grips with.
The main marquee is used for the timing and you will dib here and find out split times etc. There is no need to transition here if you don’t want to. If you’re in a team and want to switch riders you can do it at your base somewhere out on the course. Only one rider is allowed out on the course riding at any one time.
